The 2026 Board of The Lancaster Good Samaritan Scholarship Foundation is as committed as ever to help young people realize their dreams. Through scholarships and mentoring, we empower high school students who have demonstrated a history of serving others and making our community a better place to live.

Founded in February 2018 by Lancaster native and businessman Marion Taylor, the Foundation grew from his experience as a founding member of a scholarship foundation in Atlanta. Upon returning home, he brought that same vision to Lancaster County: recognizing exceptional student service and supporting continued education at a college or technical school.

Inspired by the story of the Good Samaritan, the Foundation honors those who serve their neighbors. Applicants do not need any specific religious affiliation.

Students attending Lancaster County’s four high schools and the Career Center may apply in the fall of their junior year, with applications due November 30. Career Center students are considered with applicants from their respective high schools. Up to four scholarships may be awarded, with no more than one recipient per high school.
